I Published My First Book: Probability Theory, Live!

I accomplished a great goal: I published my first book in print. The title of the book is Probability Theory, Live! Evidently, the book deals with theory of probability, a branch of mathematics.
The publisher is Xlibris. That name is very meaningful to me. I had around 10,000 books in my personal library when I lived in Romania. I have never reached that amount in USA—ever! Not even remotely close! I loved my collection of books. My ex-wife also loved them books. Granted, she contributed to the enrichment of my library. Communism forced me into self-exile—although it was a risky adventure. I crossed the border into former Yugoslavia, still one of my favorite countries. My ex-wife asked me not to send her many US dollars from America because would-be scavengers would swallow the dollars! She made money by selling the books in my personal library. Each and every book in my collection had this autograph on the first page:

My book-love, including this Ex libris meis, is inherited. My parents have loved books—reading, that is. My father's books have this Ex libris meis Latin branding, followed by the Romanian translation: Din cartile mele. Then, my father's signature under the two lines. I also imitated my father's signature. I have never wanted to sign my name differently from my father's signature. His is better-looking than mine, however. I also admit that my father's calligraphy is unquestionably nicer than mine! Computer writing badly affected my handwriting! My signature is the most faithful reminiscence from the past of my manual writing.
I love reading as much as my parents, but our tastes have gone more and more divergent. I am farther intellectually. That's a natural thing. Society evolves as a generation becomes more intellectual than the previous one. The more intellectually divergent generations are, the more advanced a society is. If you look at so-called primitive cultures, the generational differences are virtually negligible. Although, the differences begin to look strident in the third millennium. For example, Amazonian tribes, who barely dressed one generation ago, wear now blue jeans, T-shirts, and baseball caps! It's all about comfort, an essential component of survival.
The women in harshly Islamic nations still wear headscarves and hide their bodies in textile armors. But they use cell phones asking their mothers-in-law for permission to buy sodas!
The societies evolve by creating intellectual gaps between generations. The gaps are essentially rational. The mind has two fundamental components: rational (reason) and irrational (beliefs). The most important change is in Reason. USA has a group of individuals — Amish — who still live like in the sixteenth century. The Amish kids, however, make cell phone calls when family members get seriously ill.
None of my books has been Ex libris meis-branded since I moved to USA! Furthermore, I have abandoned truckloads of books since my residency in the United States of America. Reason accepts abandonment as a component of evolution. It is all dated, but Time itself…
I know, the cover looks great! I created the images based on the Fundamental Formula of the Universe (FFG). The publisher, Xlibris, then created the cover design in consultation with me. I love that book look! I believe it is the greatest cover design of all time! I set it as the background of my Windows 7 desktop. Just right-click the book image at the top of this page.

There are also a few typos, caused by format conversions, a serious Word 2007 bug (automatic style updating) … and lack of observation by this author (forget about the book editors!) For example, instead of 6 ^ 4 = 1296, it shows 64 = 1296! Originally, I used the superscript for raise to power, the math operator.
I recreated the book as PDF. I fixed the typos and the formulas. Everything looks clearly better. Additionally, PDF allows for magnifying certain reports. For example, reports in the Super Roulette Strategy were copied-and-pasted from my Web pages. I had to decrease the font size dramatically for the reports to fit on page.

She gave me an acceptable 2 of 5. Chances are, a man would have “rewarded” me with “zero out of five”! I'm not kidding! I am notorious for bringing out the worst in men! That really feasts my ego! I must be really good…I mean really great…if I make some men feel like dying out of hatred towards yours truly!

There are far more important points in my book that the reviewer should have accented. In truth, my probability book demonstrates mathematically, for the first time ever, that Randomness rules the Universe. There is no Absolute Certainty, therefore, no Perfect Order; ergo, the concept of God represents absolute Absurdity. My probability book, also for the first time ever, calculates fool-proof mathematically the degree of certainty that Intelligent Life has duplication outside Terra in this mind-bogglingly gigantic but not infinite Universe. Philosophy itself started at that pinnacle of immensity (Anaximandros). All human knowledge to date is due to that beginning in Ancient Greece.
I introduced the fundamental concepts of Degree of Certainty (DC) and Randomness in 1997, the year I started my website. At that time, all Internet searches on degree of certainty yielded zero results by all search engines — and just one result one year later, in 1998: SALIU.COM. Sure, there were results on certainty or uncertainty, but not the full concept of DC. Now, the year of grace 2010, a Google search on Degree of Certainty yields over ten million results, including an article in Wikipedia! Would they be entirely sane and give credit when credit is due? NOT! My most anthropological piece of advice: Every human must immediately claim credit for what's legitimately his or hers. False modesty is a robbery tool manipulated by the lowlifes. There is no virtue in hiding the Truth and giving illegitimate credit to the undeserving. Par exemple, the discovery of the DNA will forever be under the clouds of doubt. The Nobel laureates never gave due credit to a pioneer, a woman, who had the greatest impact on the discovery. The men, the awardees, would have done nothing without stealing an essential photo created by their female colleague! Truth is above anything and anybody. This rule is the most virtuous form of nurturing and feeding one's ego.
Not to mention valuable formulas and algorithms I discovered. They are the keystone of my book. They were unknown to any book of mathematics, theory of probability included. I discovered also the most important numeric set; all others sets are derived from the exponential or Saliusian sets. I corrected a few famous solutions to famous probability problems or even paradoxes. The old solutions were quite lax approximations. Do not blame the classics for that. We are always limited to the knowledge humanity gained until our lifetime. And I acknowledge I benefited enormously from computers. Add to it my unusual skills in computer programming and software writing. My predecessors didn't dream of such advantageous tools in discovering knowledge. This generation and future generations of students and scholars will discover, in my book, how computers can solve more easily and more quickly even seemingly unsolvable problems.
Then again, would they all be entirely sane — humans of true character, that is — and give credit when credit is due? NOT!!
Most people don't take truth easily. For example, my response to the review of my own book gets deleted at the reviewer's website. Wouldn't it be fair for the reviewer to simply reply to my response? They can reply in the same frank, albeit blunt, tone. I wouldn't mind. The truth is what matters. So, you can click on the previous link, in case my response gets deleted. I might get tired publishing my reply again and again. Therefore, I saved the review of my book and my truthful response on that permanent page at my website.
Really, a superficial review! The reviewer of my book has little knowledge of probability theory, mathematics, in general. The author of the review has a fascination with what she calls my “tremendous ego”. And she exemplifies by two really minor elements in my book (“the best blackjack player ever” and “there would be no casinos”; i.e. if everybody applied my probability theory to gambling mathematics and casino playing).
